Chicken Kadai is a famous recipe also known as Chicken KARAHI or GHOST KARAHI[ when prepared with goat or lamb], and is a dish from south Indian subcontinent noted for its soicy taste, and is notable in Pakistan and north Indian cuisine....
Ingredients required for Kadai Chicken
- 1 kg chicken, washed, cleaned and cut into big pieces.
- 4 tbsp of oil.
- 1/2 cup sliced onions.
- 1 1/2 peeled and sliced tomatoes.
- 2 tbsp of fresh chopped coriander levaes.
- 1 tbsp of ginger paste.
- 1 tbsp of garlic paste.
- 4 tsp garam masala powder.
- 2 bay leaves.
- 4 whole red chilies.
- 2 tsp of coriander seeds.
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste.
Making of KADAI CHICKEN
- Grind coriander seeds and whole red chilies into a coarse powder.
- Heat oil in a KADAI.
- Now add bay leaves to it.
- After about 30 sec, add onions and saute till they turn light golden brown in colour.
- Add ginger garlic paste to it.
- Now saute for 2 mins by keeping the flame in medium.
- Add the above create coarse powder and stir well.
- Add tomatoes and cook till they are fully cooked.
- Add chicken pieces, little salt to taste and red chili powder and mix well.
- Now cover the KADAI.
- Cook till the chicken becomes tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala powder over the chicken for taste and some nice smell.
- Now your KADAI CHICKEN is ready to be served with PARATHAS or ROTIS....
